Terms of Service
Effective 2026-08-18. Last updated 2026-08-18.
1. Who we are
Daylit is a personal school-day dashboard run by one maintainer (“we”, “us”). It’s free for individual students. It isn’t affiliated with any school, district, or learning platform.
2. Your account
You need an account to sync across devices. Give an accurate email and keep your password to yourself. You need to be at least 13 to make an account without a parent or guardian’s okay. If you’re under 13, ask a parent or guardian to set it up with you.
3. Acceptable use
Don’t use Daylit to harass, defraud, or hurt other people. Don’t try to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or get unauthorized access to it. Don’t store stuff on Daylit that’s illegal where you live. We can suspend or shut down accounts that break these rules.
4. Your content
You own everything you put into Daylit (classes, assignments, grades, notes, all of it). You give us a limited license to store it and show it back to you, and that’s it. We don’t sell your content. We don’t train machine-learning models on it. We don’t share it with anyone else, except where we need to just to run the service (for example, our database provider stores it for us).
5. Service availability
Daylit is provided as-is and as-available. We aim for high uptime but can’t promise it. Features may change, get added, or go away. We may take things down for maintenance without warning.
6. Termination
You can delete your account any time from the Customize page. Once you delete, your server-side data is gone within 30 days. We can also close accounts that break these Terms.
7. Disclaimer of warranty and liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Daylit and its maintainer disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using the service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at $50.
8. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may change now and then. Big changes get announced by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using Daylit after that date, you’re accepting the updated Terms.
